Just thinking

I know I am supposed to be enjoying my engagement, and believe me I TOTALLY am.  But I cant help but start thinking about what I want my day to be like.

Do I we want a country wedding?

Do I we want a city wedding?

Do I we want a Fall wedding?

Do I we want a Spring wedding?

I should actually say we instead of I- I don't want to be that bride who completely forgets about her groom.  But lets be serious here, I HAVE thought about this day since I was in the womb.

Ahhh, so many choices!! I don't even know where to start!

Decide what your favorite time of year is and go with that! Your first instincts are usually the best decisions when planning a wedding ;)

this is just the beginning! There are WAY too many options out there. just think, whatever you choose leaves all the other options for renewing your vows in the years to come!

With our planning, I asked David what areas he cared about and what areas he didn't even want me to mention. For example: He cared about the tuxes, that our engagement be short-ish and that there be a chocolate fountain (this was 6 years ago, before everyone had one). He did not care about napkins, flowers, invitations, colors, food, or anything else. Nailing down those areas really saved both of us a lot of stress. We discussed his "items" and then I didn't have to feel uneasy saying "I want" about the rest of the decisions. :-) The most important thing to me was picking things that most likely wouldn't make me shudder in 25 years... and, most importantly, having fun and enjoying the experience!! I think we managed quite well. So, I'm sure you'll knock it out of the park!!

congrats! enjoy the planning (it's SO much fun and there are so many fantastic wedding blogs out there!). My brother and sister-in-law had their reception in your "city wedding" picture ... was an AMAZING location with an incredible view!!!

Congrats! I'm sure you will plan something GREAT! I can't wait to see what you decide :)

I'm with Audreya, he'll probably only have a strong opinion about a few things. And no matter what season and even though you will agonize over every detail, I promise that when the day comes you WON'T CARE! You'll be marrying your sweetheart regardless, so try not to worry too much :)

Well, I guess you already have the baker, right?

I think every bride and groom need to share in the planning, but truly, every bride know's exactly what she wants, as I know you must, right?
I knew right away as I designed my dress, calligraphied the invites, planned the menu, made the centerpieces, and had a photo of the garland that my bridesmaids carried and later was hung from the banister.
Think of it as a room to design for a lifetime of love!

Michael had two opinions:
1- no pink
2- do not register for square shaped plates
ha- random I know- but those were his two requests. besides that- he just showed up!

i say get married sooner than later- i loved having a short engagement!

oh, and he said he would not be wearing a tux. he hates them. i was fine with him wearing a black suit!

the country one one is my vote...so sweet!

Congratulations! You'll get so much advice in the next few weeks but I think Michael (Blueprint Bliss's hubby) offered really great advice - don't register for square plates. That can be expanded to read: stick to something timeless. And ditto, get married sooner rather than later. We had a 6 month engagement (and a really big wedding per my parents request) and pulled it off happily :)

Have so much fun with this! Marija

All so pretty! Start your inspiration folder now! My (I mean our) wedding colors were actually inspired by paper I found at Paper Source, and the design set the tone for the whole event (little bit modern, little bit elegant). fun fun!

i advise you to pick your favorite time of year. for us our may 6th wedding was perfection (the south).
no one was sweating and the food stayed fresh.
